This is a
HANDHELD, Cordless, Linear-Regulated, Low-Noise DC Power Supply.
No switching regulators are used in the design. The lowest possible output noise can be achieved by using 8 "AA" batteries as the power source rather than the AC Adapter
(included). This
triple output power supply is perfect for powering and troubleshooting noise sensitive circuits. You have a 30-day Money Back Guarantee. Shipping costs cannot be refunded.
The Box-O-Volts is
priced at $100.00 US and only a few remain in stock and are
available for immediate shipment. To order, click on
the PayPal link below.
Shipping charges will be
calculated after the order has been placed and the shipping
address has been confirmed. The Buyer may request a
certain carrier and delivery type (next day, overnight,
standard, etc.). If no carrier and delivery type is
requested then the least expensive option will be used.
After the shipping charges are calculated, the Buyer will be
asked to pay again through PayPal for the additional
shipping costs. After the costs are received, the unit
will ship.

Size & Weight
- Size: 6 inches long X 4.2 inches wide X 1.5 inches tall (not including Banana Jack
Posts).
- Weight: Less than 2 pounds (not including "AA" batteries and AC Adapter).
|
Connectors
- One Red (Positive) & One Black (Negative) Binding Post per Output
- Binding Posts accept up to 12 Gauge wire
- Binding Posts accept standard Banana Plugs
- Standard 3/4-inch spacing between Black & Red Binding Post
Batteries
- Install or remove batteries by removing either Side
Panel (2 screws) and slide Cover/Circuit Card out. The
AA Battery holders are located on the bottom side of the
circuit board (See Figure 4 below).
- Please note battery manufacturer's recommendations on
discharge rate. Batteries get very warm if
discharged quickly (high load current).
- Batteries may remain installed when using AC Wall Adapter. When 2.5mm Plug is inserted into the "+12V IN" Jack, the Batteries are automatically disconnected from the internal circuitry. The 2.5mm Plug must be removed from the Jack in order to use Battery Power.
- Time shown is how long it will take 8 NEW "AA" batteries to drop to the combined voltage listed in the columns while operating at a total output current listed in the rows (Note that 1 NEW "AA" Battery has a voltage of 1.5 Volts).
- Example: 8 NEW "AA" batteries in series have a
total voltage of 12V. If the user is operating with a current draw of 100mA on the 3.3V output, 100mA on the 5V Output and 50mA on the Variable Output (250mA NET Current draw), the total battery voltage will drop to 8.0 volts in 7 hours. This has the effect of limiting the maximum voltage on the outputs...if the net battery voltage drops to 9.6 volts, the
variable output's maximum voltage can only be about 1
volt less than the Net Battery voltage, or 8.6 volts.
